BC Racing’s HR Coilover system offers the same great benefits of the RM Series with the addition of 2-way damping adjustment. BC Racing’s HR Coilover system offers the same great benefits of the RM Series with the addition of 2-way damping adjustment. Each HR Coilover system offers inverted mono-tube dampers with independently adjustable compression and rebound. The inverted damper design moves vital damper fluid away from detrimental heat sources to avoid overheating which can cause damper fade under extreme track use.
- Monotube inverted damper design
- 30 clicks of independantly adjustable compression and rebound
- height adjustment via shock body – not spring
- Choice of spring rate
- 1 year limited warranty against manufacturer defects
- fully rebuildable with all parts available for purchase
- Swift Springs standard on all HR Type Coilovers
BC RACING HR SERIES FEATURES
MONO-TUBE INVERTED DAMPERS:
REDUCED DAMPER FLEX
The BC Racing HR Coilovers use large 42mm inverted monotube dampers. This inverted style allows both the inner and outer tubes to take all of the side loads encountered when cornering. This reduced flex of the BC Racing HR series gives a more predictable steering feel and improved responsive handling. It also improves the life of the BC Racing damper seals.
REDUCED UNSPRUNG WEIGHT
The mono-tube inverted damper design on the BC Racing HR series coilovers has a number of advantages, including reducing unsprung weight by moving the oil and gas reservoir way from the hub and attaching it to the shell.
REDUCED HEAT TRANSFER
Also by inverting the coilover damper the oil and gas is moved away from the hub assembly. This means that less heat is transferred to the oil under braking which makes for more consistent damping.
These BC Racing HR series coilovers The external reservoirs hold much more oil than conventional coilovers, allowing the unit to operate for much longer before overheating.
2-WAY ADJUSTABLE DAMPING – SEPARATE REBOUND AND COMPRESSION ADJUSTMENT
the external reservoirs also house a secondary piston, which allows for separate adjustment of rebound and compression damping. Rebound damping is adjusted on the top of shock and compression damping is adjusted on the external reservoir
Swift springs are a premium grade spring. Made by swift of Japan. They are made with a higher grade special spring steel alloy that has more consistent spring rates and better ride quality. Here is a little more about them. http://www.swiftsprings.net/tech/advantage.html
